Erika's Journal for 2010

Sunday, January 2, 2010: Gave Erika her first solid food, rice cereal. She kind of mouthed it, not really swallowing.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010: It’s really easy to get Erika to laugh, to chortle even, along with you.

Friday, February, 5, 2010: Erika played her first joke on me, trying to put her binky in my mouth.

Monday, February 8, 2010: Erika’s teacher said she held herself up standing under the fish tank, holding onto the bar, for five minutes.

Wednesday, February 17, 2010: Erika can put her binky in her mouth herself.

Saturday, March 13, 2010: Erika is pulling herself up, reaching from the ottoman to the couch, going from crawling to sitting, generally and suddenly very mobile, eating avocado, first top tooth is through, dropping everything from the high chair, thinks Naomi is the coolest person in the whole world, giggle fests with Naomi in the bathtub.

Friday, March 19, 2010: Third tooth (first on the top) is visible. Frozen bagels help.

Saturday, March 20, 2010: I’m still having trouble getting used to hearing Erika woke up and finding her standing in the crib.

Sunday, March 21, 2010: Erika is working so hard on walking. Her balance isn’t so good but she loves to take steps.

Loves broccoli. Loves finger food. Loves to splash in the bathtub. Has two teeth on the bottom and three (almost four) on the top.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010: Erika is turning the pages to books. Loves tofu. Makes humming noises while she eats. Huge smiles. Standing a bit without support.
